Tiribería, the international puppet festival that will take place from 12 to 18 August 2024 in Rianxo (Spain), will have the Czech Republic as the main protagonist. In this ninth edition, our teachers Marie Jirásková and Pavel Jirásek reveal the Czech puppet tradition to the Galician visitors. The event will also include training, an exhibition with guided tours, book presentations and audiovisual projections.
Marie Jirásková, scenographer and costume designer, puppet specialist and graphic designer will take part in these activities together with Pavel Jirásek, musician, writer, screenwriter and film director. Both will be teaching a course on manipulating historical puppets from the Czech Republic and building paper theatres.
In addition, an exhibition will be inaugurated on the 12th August with pieces from the extensive collection they both have.
